Rent Categories update

Changes in rent category

With the new update, some improvements are coming to Assetti. From now on the rent types are needed for the leases and those changes can affect your account in different ways depending of your use cases:

1- If your company is using sub-rent types in the leases:
The new changes will only affect your new leases or periods. Now it is mandatory to select one of the sub-rent types for the lease. To add more than one rent for the same lease, all you have to do is click the plus icon to add a new row for the rent.

2 - If your company is not using rent types in the lease:

Your leases will suffer changes and a default rent type map will be created in your account. It basically will work the same as it works today, but now you need to select the rent category for the new periods or leases. To add more than one rent for the same lease, all you have to do is click the plus icon to add a new row for the rent.

Changes in the lease Import

With the rent category update now the rent type is created straight from the lease import. So you don’t need to create the rent type map beforehand. If you don't have rent types for the property, the rent type selected will be the Assetti default one. However if you want your own rent types, they still need to be added in the account map and then selected in the lease user interface.

NOTE: You are still able to add your own rent type map manually in Assetti via UI or Rent type map import. Remember to link the properties after creating the Rent type map.
